Rick and Rick co-founded Intelisys in 1994, as one of the original Telecom Master Agencies in the United States. Both had successful track records as top producers in direct and indirect carrier sales and management assignments. They built Intelisys from the ground up, understanding the unique challenges of becoming successful telecom agents.
Dana Topping joined Intelisys as an equity partner in 2006 through a merger with his company, Resource Communications. Dana’s expertise was high-level design of private networks for Fortune 100 customers and designing applications for them. Dana currently focuses on building and shaping Intelisys’ vision through innovative solutions in an era of convergence.
Rick, Rick, and Dana share executive management responsibilities for the overall strategic direction of the company. Together with the Intelisys Strategy Team, they are responsible for developing sales, support, and value-added applications that drive revenue growth and provide Intelisys’ top-performing Sales Partners with an experience that is unmatched in the industry, establishing Intelisys as the country’s leading Technology Services Distributor.
Jay joined the Intelisys Team in October of 2002 and brings over 25 years of telecom sales, marketing and management experience to his role at Intelisys.
Jay spent 10 years with MCI Telecommunications in his early career, and in the years prior to joining Intelisys held leadership positions with CLEC, reseller and collaboration start-ups. In his role as President, Jay is responsible for managing all aspects of Intelisys’ business operations as well as developing and executing strategies to grow and differentiate Intelisys in the marketplace. Jay is most passionate about celebrating the successes of Intelisys’ top performing Sales Partners, maintaining a fun and rewarding culture for Intelisys colleagues, and evangelizing the huge opportunity for channel partners to capture more share in the telecommunications industry.
Rick joined our team in July 2010. With over 29 years of telecom experience in the channel, Rick opened one of the first Master Agencies, Online Telecom in 1987.
After a successful run, which included opening six Bell Atlantic retail stores, he sold the company and in 2001 joined another master agent in the roles of EVP and COO. Over the years, Rick also enjoyed other entrepreneurial ventures such as restaurants, real estate and children’s amusements. In his role as Senior Vice President, East Region, Rick leads a strategic business development function, facilitating the company’s growth into new markets, delivering unique revenue opportunities to Intelisys sales partners, and implementing new programs and initiatives to ensure the success of Intelisys Sales Partners and Supplier Partners.
J.R. joined Intelisys in June 2014 after having served as Channel Chief for EarthLink Business and New Edge Networks since 2010.
Prior to that J.R. was Vice President for TelePacific Communications. In his role at Intelisys, J.R. leads a strategic business development function and supports the West Region team, providing an exceptional standard of support and leading Intelisys Sales Partners to new levels of achievement and success.
In his role at Intelisys, Brandon is responsible for the continuing recruitment of the Channel’s Best of the Best and helping both new and existing Intelisys Sales Partners.
Brandon joined Intelisys in June 2012, after making tremendous contributions to several other organizations, including Birch Telecom, Cbeyond, XO and Paetec/Windstream. As Vice President, Partner Sales & Business Development – Central Region, Brandon facilitates the company’s growth into new markets, and delivers unique revenue opportunities to Intelisys Sales Partners.
Carol joined our team in June 2003. She brings over 25 years of successful telecom and management experience to Intelisys.
Carol has held a variety of support positions in channel sales, service, and marketing where she has been responsible for supporting independent sales distributors and end user customers worldwide. In her role as Vice President, Sales Operations, Carol is responsible for the systems and structures that support Intelisys’ Sales Partners and Supplier Partners, as well as the Order Management and Audex teams. Carol is also a member of the Intelisys Strategy Team, working on strategic planning and execution of the overall Intelisys business plan.
In his role as Vice President, Supplier Sales, Mike is responsible for creating original revenue driving programs for new and existing Supplier Partners in the Intelisys portfolio.
Mike joined our team in July 2004 as SWAT Sales Manager. He was promoted to senior Partner Sales roles twice (Director and later VP, Partner Sales, for the West Region), before being appointed VP, Supplier Sales. Before coming to Intelisys, Mike worked as Intelisys’ Channel Manager with Cable & Wireless from late 2000 through 2003. During this time Mike helped Intelisys become C&W’s largest Master Agency. Prior to his role in C&W’s Channel Program, Mike was the first direct sales representative in the history of the company to win the Annual National Sales Contest for eight consecutive years.
In his role as Vice President, Finance, Mike is responsible for managing all aspects of financial management, accounting, and commissions for Intelisys.
Michael joined the Intelisys team in September 2007. He brings over 25 years of finance experience in a variety of industries with small and medium-sized companies, as well as large international corporations. Mike spent 12 years with British Petroleum as a business analyst and internal auditor, and in recent years has been involved with several other medium-sized companies in California, including Applied Graphics, where he was CFO for eight years.
Andrew has been in the telecommunications & IT industries for 24 years and has held senior sales leadership positions with carriers such as AT&T, MCI and WorldCom.
He joined Intelisys through the acquisition of Cloud Services Coalition, a Master Agency and Integrator that he founded with the purpose of helping the channel address the growing demand for cloud services, such as hosted VoIP, cloud computing and cloud infrastructure. In 2001, Andrew helped to launch GoBeam Communications, a pioneer in hosted IP telephony that was sold in 2004 to Covad Communications, where Andrew then spent three years running the channel. Andrew also serves on the advisory board for Channel Partners and is a founding member of Cloud & Technology Transformation Alliance (CTTA).
Stacey joined our team in January 2015 and brings to Intelisys over 20 years of business and legal experience.
As a corporate attorney, Stacey has provided legal and business consulting services to start-up and established companies in the finance, internet, software and telecommunication industries. She has worked with Intelisys and others businesses in the Channel for the past 14 years. She likes to think of herself as an attorney who thinks like a business person. Stacey has a BA from University of California, Davis and a JD from Santa Clara University, School of Law.
Eddie celebrates 17 years of telecom experience, including several years supporting various indirect channels. Eddie has been voted Top Channel Manager of the Year multiple times by Channel Partners Magazine, as well as a number of suppliers. He has worked on the Indirect side for Zayo (formerly AboveNet), XO and most recently Windstream on the wholesale side selling to some of the largest carriers in the U.S. Eddie resides in Dallas with his wife Ashley and his two children, Christian and Hudson. When he isn’t in Dallas, he is in Austin on the lake. Eddie enjoys being outdoors – fishing, mountain biking and golfing. He is also a huge Cowboys, Texas Longhorns and Texas Rangers fan!
Justin joined the Intelisys team in August 2011. He comes to us from XO, where he spent 8 years as a Channel Manager in the NY market. Seven of those years, he was the Top Performing Channel Manager for XO nationwide. Justin graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a BA in Exercise Science. He began his telecom career right out of college with Allegiance Telecom, which was later acquired by XO. In his role as Director, Partner Sales – Northeast Region, he manages an amazing team of three Channel Managers supporting the Intelisys Partner community from Northern Virginia to Maine.
Karla joined the Intelisys team in January of 2009. Karla came to Intelisys after more than 10 years as a top performing Channel Manager at Qwest Communications now CenturyLink Alliance. While at Qwest/CenturyLink, Karla excelled in growing her partners’ base and helping the agents find successful vertical markets. Karla was also responsible for managing the Intelisys partners in Florida during her tenure at Qwest/CenturyLink. Karla has a bachelors degree in communications from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Karla’s primary functions in her role are assisting existing agents grow their base as well as finding new top producing agents who will excel to greater levels of excellence with the help and support of the Intelisys team.
Raymond joined Intelisys through the acquisition of Cloud Services Coalition in 2012. Prior to Intelisys he was as serial entrepreneur, starting ITKadence, an early cloud-focused Systems Integrator. He also was co-owner and CTO of a National Systems Integrator focused on unified communications and general computing requirements. As Director of Solutions Engineering, he helps Sales Partners uncover, define and direct their cloud opportunities. Solely focused on cloud and the technologies that exist around it, he has helped close thousands of opportunities, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small startup organizations looking to grow with the cloud.
Partner Support Services
Samantha joined our team in March 2003. She comes to us with over three years of customer service management experience in a multi-vendor sales environment. In her role as Director of Partner Support Services, Samantha is responsible for monitoring and assuring the effectiveness of the overall support of our Sales Partners.
Diane joined the team in February 2014. She comes to Intelisys with experience in portfolio account management and financial analysis in the insurance industry. She has also managed her own direct sales jewelry business. Diane has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Marketing from the State University of New at Albany, an MBA in finance from New York University and a Master’s in Education from the University of Bridgeport. In her role as Director of Support Services, Diane is responsible for monitoring and assuring the effectiveness of the overall support of our Sales Partners in the East Region.
Sales Administration & Recruiting
Connie Strouse joined the Intelisys team in June 2011. In her role, Connie manages the Sales Administration Team who support our Sales Team in the Western, Central and Eastern Regions. Her team performs the required processes for the acquisition of new prospective Sales Partners, completes base transfers, handles addendums, processes the Advanced Commissions and Partner Investment Programs, and provides various reports. Connie also manages the coordination of all events including our Mindshares, Workshops and Partner Exchanges. Connie came to us with 15 years of experience in the automotive industry as an Executive Administrative Assistant. She has served as President of the RC Cougar Boosters, which is a non-profit for the athletics at Rancho Cotate High School in Rohnert Park.
Finance – Commissions
Cybil joined the Intelisys team in November 2015. She brings over 25 years of experience in a variety of industries with small and medium-sized companies both domestic and international. Cybil ran her own corporation for 20 years specializing in setting up systems and processes for finance, customer service, payroll and operations. The last 5 years were spent at a fast growing, international cutting edge software company based in Denmark as the VP of Administration. Cybil is running the Commission Department and working directly with Mike Ketchum to strive towards constant increase in support and services to our partner network.
Brian joined the Intelisys team in May of 2014. His marketing and business strategy experience with more than 50 IT solution providers and telecom agents provides Intelisys a resource uniquely suited for reaching and educating more telecom and IT businesses looking to grow. As Director of Marketing Brian manages Intelisys’ marketing communications, brand evangelization, and lead generation efforts as well as its marketing support for Sales Partners. He also manages the company’s IT and development department.
Beki joined our team in April 1998. She has a Bachelor’s degree in English from Sonoma State University and an MBA with an emphasis in Marketing from the University of Phoenix. Beki started at Intelisys in what was then called our Agent Support department, she spent four years launching, developing, and supervising that team, after which she spent two years managing Agent Development, followed by eight years as a Supplier Manager. In her current position as Director of Supplier Management and Programs, she is responsible for the Supplier Management department, the relationships with our Supplier Partners and the Development and Implementation of Programs across the organization, including the Intelisys Cloud Services University.
Jennifer joined our team in April 2007. She has a degree in Business Administration from Sonoma State University with a concentration in Accounting. She comes to us with over five years of experience in accounting. In her role Finance Manager, Jennifer is responsible for overseeing the day to day accounting activities.
Justin came to Intelisys with the Resource team when Intelisys and Resource merged in 2006. Before joining Resource in 2003, Justin was part of a company that developed and patented a new search technology. Justin brings 8 years of experience in programming and software design to the Audex development team. In his role as director and lead developer, he is responsible for the implementation and management of the Audex, telecom asset manager & software suite.
